SULAP SULAP SERIES

Sulap-Sulap Series (naïve genre) by the young talented Azlan Dulikab – one of the past winners for the highly celebrated Karya Pilihan Sabah. These acrylic paintings are inspired by the majestic Nabalu and its beautiful natural surroundings. I bought two for my brother’s homestay – Soboroong Farmer's Cottage, Kundasang.

Tiap lukisan cuma RM300. It is a real good bargain for works by someone with Azlan’s reputation.

— with Azlan Dulikab, Arthur S. Siowou and Awang Fadilah at Balai Seni Lukis Sabah.

Yang ditapau pulang. Semua karya pelukis muda Sabah, except for one. By a rather senior artist.

"Sumandak om Karabau", by Connie Misib Artwork Page. One of the best Sabahan artists when it comes to playing with 'vibrant colours'

"Mana Kerbau Saya" by Awang Fadilah. One of the most accomplished Sabahan senior artists.

"Siapa Yang Buta?" by one of the most established woman artists in Sabah, Rosmaini Sunarjo. Tapi saya suka ideanya tentang kritik sosial.

"Burung Hantu Terbang Lagi" by Arthur S. Siowou. Personally, I think he is the most talented Sabahan artist. His paintings are very rich with texture; the strokes are very neat and polished - and his interpretation of Sabah biodiversity is very thought provoking.

"Musim Menuai" by Norsiah Majurong. Tidak pernah nampak karya dia sebelum ini. First time jumpa dan beli. I like the subject she chose - but I don't really fancy her strokes and colouring. She still has a spacious room for improvement.

dua catan karya anak murid Prof ini tetap jadi pujaan.
